What I've learned from coaching hundreds of 1:1 and group clients:

In order to truly be free from the desire for alcohol, we need to become aware of our unique habit and reward cycle and rewire our beliefs about the benefits that our subconscious brain believes we are receiving from alcohol. 

We use alcohol to feel a certain way or to numb our feelings. Basically we are using it to regulate our nervous system. We use it to upshift to power through, or downshift to relax and shut down. In order to be truly free, we need to learn how to regulate our nervous system on our own. 

This is true empowerment. This is how we rise. We become ALIVE in our own lives. We learn how to feel all the feelings life has to offer and we know we can manage anything life throws at us- without a drink!

This course is designed to maximize your learning, growth, and transformation by combining powerful coaching with innovative adult learning techniques.

I use a method called Flip Curriculum, a proven approach I worked with at the Yale School of Medicine. Here’s what that means for you:

  • You’ll watch short, easy-to-digest videos between sessions to learn the science, strategies, and concepts (your external evidence).
  • You’ll also receive tools, tactics, and between-session exercises (your internal experience) to try out in your real life.
  • Then when we come together, our sessions are devoted entirely to deep coaching, guided experiential exercises, personal insights, and meaningful connection to take what you’ve learned and turn those aha moments into real transformation.

At every stage, the focus is on you. You already hold the wisdom inside you. This course simply helps you uncover it, experiment with new ways of living, and walk forward with clarity and confidence.

I'm Susan, your coach.

I know what it feels like to wonder if alcohol has too much control, yet not see yourself in traditional labels like “alcoholic.” For years, I worried about my own relationship with drinking—and what I discovered transformed not just my life, but the lives of the women I now coach.
I’ve trained with some of the most respected leaders in the field, becoming a certified senior coach through This Naked Mind, completing the Master Gray Area Drinking Course with Jolene Park, and diving deep into transformational practices through my Sacred Depths life coach training. This unique blend of neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and soulful inner work allows me to meet clients exactly where they are—with compassion, curiosity, and powerful tools for change.
But here’s what I believe most: you already hold the wisdom you need inside you. My role isn’t to tell you what to do—it’s to guide you back to your own inner knowing, to help you uncover what freedom, peace, and joy look like for you.
